SellerDiligence is operated by Layer8 Tech Group LLC, a Georgia limited liability company ("Layer8," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through sellerdiligence.com and our assessment services, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Contact information — name, business name, email, and phone — when you request an assessment, request our guide, or contact us.
- Assessment intake information — the information you share during your intake call, a recording and/or transcript of that call (recorded only after your consent), and any supporting business or financial documents you choose to provide.
- Communications — messages you send us.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information beyond the business and financial materials you choose to provide for the assessment, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
2. Cookies and analytics
This website does not use cookies and does not run third-party tracking or analytics. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't share your browsing behavior with ad networks.
If you submit a form on the site, the information you enter is sent to us to respond to your request — that's a submission you choose to make, not passive tracking.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- provide, produce, and support your assessment (see the Data-Handling Terms for how assessment materials specifically are handled);
- respond to your requests and communicate with you about your assessment;
- operate and maintain the site and service;
- with your separate, explicit consent only, prepare a case study (named or anonymized at your election);
- comply with law and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your confidential assessment materials to train third-party or general-purpose AI models.
4. How we share your information
We share your information only:
- with service providers who help us operate — for example, telephony, cloud storage, and the processing used to produce assessments — and only what each needs to perform its function. These are described in our Data-Handling Terms;
- with your consent — for example, a case study you've agreed to;
- as required by law — to comply with legal process or protect rights and safety.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
5. How we protect and store your information
Your information is stored using encryption at rest and in transit, with access limited to personnel who need it. Assessment materials are held in secured cloud storage with per-client isolation, as described in our Data-Handling Terms. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. How long we keep it, and your deletion rights
By default, we retain your information for the duration of your engagement and for 90 days beyond your accepted delivery of the assessment, then delete it, except where retention is required by law or where you and we have agreed otherwise in writing. Deletion of assessment materials covers all copies as described in our Data-Handling Terms — your documents, any call recordings and transcripts, and the derived data used for analysis.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us (see below). We will respond within a reasonable time, and as required by applicable law.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to not be treated differently for exercising them. To exercise any right, contact us at the email below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Third-party links
The site may link to third-party services — for example, our scheduling tool. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
9. Children
The service is for business owners and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date, and where they affect how we handle information already collected, we will communicate as appropriate or as required by law.
